MEET the real-life bogeyman.
A homeowner was left scared out of their wits when they found would-be thief Jason Hubbard lurking under a bed, where he had been hiding for three days straight.
Hubbard slipped into the New Jersey home in Spotswood in May through an open door while the homeowner was taking out the rubbish, NBC reports.
Police released new details of the crime, saying the intruder then walked into a spare bedroom and stayed holed up under the bed in a bizarre three-day stake-out.
While there, he charged his four mobile phones using a nearby electrical outlet. And it appears he did little else.
It was unclear if or when he planned to rob the home, but before he got a chance, he outed himself. The homeowner heard a strange noise coming from the guest room and, to his horror, found the sneaking trespasser.
Hubbard was charged with criminal trespass, burglary and theft of services.
